Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Personal Lines Department . This role is responsible for responding to client inquiries, interpreting policy provisions, and ensuring accuracy in policy transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal lines insurance, a strong technical background, and a commitment to exceptional client service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via mail, telephone, or in person regarding insurance policies.
  • Research company records to obtain and provide requested information.
  • Interpret policy provisions to determine appropriate coverages on all policies.
  • Distribute specified forms and ensure completion and proper attachment to client files.
  • Analyze policy transactions and update company records to correct errors.
  • Increase book size through referrals and cross-selling additional products.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret policy language and coverage details.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and ability to navigate insurance management systems such as AMS .
  • Ability to research properties using property appraiser websites, realtor pages, and other online tools.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in personal lines insurance or a related field.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • 220 FL General Lines Property & Casualty License required.
  • 440 Minimum, Willing to Obtain 220 License

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
