As one of the earliest engineering hires, you’ll be joining a highly ambitious and mission-driven founding team. This role offers the rare opportunity to shape product and technical direction at a company poised for rapid growth in the AI space. What You Will Do Collaborate closely with the co-founder and CTO to architect and build the company’s core platform from the ground up Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI) Create responsive, elegant front-end interfaces using React and Vite Build complex integrations with enterprise communication platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams Develop and iterate on a high-performance workflow engine for scheduling and event-based triggers Set foundational engineering best practices and help establish a high-performing engineering culture Ideal Candidate Background 8–10 years of experience in full stack software engineering At least 2+ years of experience in high-growth startup environments Expertise in Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI preferred) Advanced proficiency with React and frontend development best practices Proven experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise platforms Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Track record of building scalable and distributed systems Strong communication and collaboration skills with a bias toward action Preferred Experience with technologies like SQLModel, Celery, PostgreSQL (pgvector), Redis, LangGraph, Langfuse, and Render (PaaS) Prior startup experience as an early engineering team member Demonstrated use of modern developer tools and AI-assisted workflows (e.g. Cursor) Based in California or New York Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary: $160,000 – $220,000 Significant equity package 100% remote work with a flexible schedule Opportunity to work directly with founders and influence early product/tech decisions Fast-paced, high-impact environment with a mission-driven culture #J-18808-Ljbffr Recruiting From Scratch
