We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Pharmacy Administrative Specialist to manage essential administrative and compliance-related functions within our pharmacy operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy credentialing, PBM paperwork, board of pharmacy renewals, and general support functions that ensure regulatory readiness and operational efficiency.

Familiarity with the PrimeRx pharmacy system is required for navigating pharmacy workflows and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Credentialing & Regulatory Compliance

  • Prepare and submit applications for PBM enrollment, recredentialing, and contract renewals

  • Track and manage all pharmacy licenses and state board renewals

  • Maintain compliance-related documentation, including DEA, NABP, Medicaid/Medicare, and CLIA information

  • Organize audit-related materials and ensure documentation is updated and accessible

Administrative & Communication Support

  • Draft and send professional email correspondence with PBMs, state agencies, and vendors

  • Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems

  • Manage tracking spreadsheets and dashboards for licensure, applications, and deadlines

  • Schedule reminders and support timely renewals or recredentialing submissions

  • Support the pharmacy management team with other administrative needs as assigned

System Use

  • Utilize PrimeRx for administrative tasks such as checking provider details, pharmacy info, and system updates

  • Run basic reports or data checks relevant to credentialing or pharmacy compliance

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years in a pharmacy, medical office, or healthcare administrative role

  • Working knowledge of PrimeRx (or a similar pharmacy software platform)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

  • Excellent written communication skills — must be able to compose clear, professional emails

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized — able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pharmacy credentialing, licensing, or PBM paperwork

  • Familiarity with state pharmacy boards, CAQH, or health plan directories

  • Experience supporting multiple locations or pharmacy sites

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday
(On-site role; remote work is not preferred)

Compensation

$25–$32/hour based on experience
