Join to apply for the Printer Operator 23 role at Ardagh Metal Packaging . The Printer Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment, and maintenance of coater decorator and related equipment. Key Accountabilities Understand and comply with safety SOPs and work instructions, including Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and Personal Protective Equipment. Check machines, analyze mechanical or operational issues, and take corrective actions to maintain quality. Make changeovers or conversions by setting up equipment for changes in material, size, or product. Check, test, and measure products for quality specifications and examine for visual defects. Replace worn or damaged parts. Retime machine actions. Operate, repair, clean, and lubricate equipment as needed to maintain production. Clear jams. Check and change materials like varnishes, coatings, inks, and lubricants; request additional supplies as needed. Examine, test, and record product quality using gauges and instruments. Perform preventative maintenance and report findings. Notify supervisor of recurring malfunctions, poor-quality materials, or supplies. Operate equipment and assist as directed. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment. Mechanically inclined and familiar with hand tools. Knowledge of proper handling of chemicals/solvents. Previous printing experience preferred. Basic dry/offset printing skills/knowledge. Ability to troubleshoot litho/printing press issues. Detail-oriented. Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments. Physical Demands Bend and rotate body repeatedly. Exposure to heat, cold, vibrations, fumes, and loud noise. Lift up to 35 pounds; push/pull 500-pound drums with a hand truck. Work multiple machines in a fast-paced environment. Climb stairs frequently. Visually differentiate colors. Work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional Details Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Full-time.
