Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Product Owner / Business Analyst to lead the development and enhancement of our retail systems, with a focus on Point of Sale (POS) platforms. This hybrid role combines business analysis, product ownership, and project management to ensure that business needs are translated into effective technical solutions and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Meet with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

Agile Product Ownership

  • Act as the Product Owner in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to align with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Promote and enforce Agile best practices across teams.

Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and track project activities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals, technical execution, and project milestones.

Technical Collaboration & Testing

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Participate in testing efforts, including UAT, to validate that solutions meet business requirements.

Operational Support & Analysis

  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide hands-on support to individual retail locations, assisting with technical issues and system troubleshooting.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience working with retail Point of Sale (POS) systems or similar transactional platforms.
  • Proven experience managing projects or leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and store-level technology support.
  • Technical background or understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
