HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The QA Manager will oversee quality assurance processes within a specific Business Unit, ensuring products and services meet quality standards and customer expectations. This role involves acting as a liaison between customers, manufacturing partners, and internal teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include developing quality systems, managing customer concerns, and fostering a quality-centric culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards specific to the Business Unit.
Serve as the primary contact for customer quality communications and issue resolution.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to uphold quality requirements.
Lead internal and external quality audits and manage corrective actions.
Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Manage non-conformance reports and root cause analyses.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Support product lifecycle quality objectives through cross-functional collaboration.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote use of quality methodologies like FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
Maintain quality documentation and records.
Support NPI activities to ensure quality standards are integrated from prototype to production.
Provide training on quality processes.
Report on quality metrics and present findings to leadership.
Travel as needed for customer and supplier quality initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in quality assurance within manufacturing.
Knowledge of QMS standards such as ISO 9001.
Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier quality management.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with quality tools and software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Certifications like CQE or CQA are preferred.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The role may require physical activities such as climbing ladders, moving objects, and working in various environments. Occasional travel may be necessary.
