Job Description:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly capable and self-sufficient SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Administrator/Engineer to serve as the single point of contact for our customized IIQ environment.

This role blends administration, light development, project coordination, and Linux system maintenance, requiring a candidate who can operate independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary administrator for a heavily customized SailPoint IIQ environment (38+ custom modules).
• Perform light Java development and code compilation to support IIQ customizations and bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve post-deployment anomalies and system issues.
• Coordinate with Professional Services and OIS on project delivery, upgrades, and ongoing support.
• Maintain and patch Linux servers supporting the IIQ platform.
• Monitor logs, identify errors, and proactively resolve issues.
• Deploy new IIQ packages and document all changes and revisions.
• Own the care and feeding of the IIQ platform with minimal external support.
• Ensure adherence to technical and security best practices over governance/audit priorities.
• Maintain PM documentation and support project tracking and reporting.
• Understand and manage unsupported customizations within SailPoint.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience administering SailPoint IdentityIQ (preferably version 8.3 or higher).
• Strong understanding of Java and ability to perform light development and code compilation.
• Experience with Linux server maintenance (patching, updates, troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with IIQ logs, error tracing, and backlog management.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the IIQ environment.
• Strong documentation and project coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with full revision upgrades of SailPoint IIQ.
• Exposure to DevOps practices (though not a primary focus of the role).
• Background in technical security practices.
• Experience working with Professional Services and managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to balance technical depth with administrative responsibilities.
