We are currently looking for a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Division of Ancillary and Specialty Services team located at the ACA Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
*Summary:*
Provides speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients referred to speech-language pathology.
*Responsibilities:*
* Provides speech-language pathology services for patients
* Aids in the care and safety of patients
* Protects the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy
* Available to confer with person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient care and keep them informed of any additional patient needs, treatments, modifications and/or progress
* Implements proper techniques to assist and handle patients, and the ability to handle tools and machines of the profession
* Collaborates with leadership and coordinates patient scheduling and implementing speech-language pathology services
* Performs housekeeping duties by routine and periodic cleaning to maintain cleanliness and infection control
* Evaluates assigned patients referred to speech-language pathology or other offered services by the department
* Interprets and carries out the referral of the physician
* Completes and submits all reports pertaining to evaluation and treatment within a timely manner
* Practices speech-language pathology consistent with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Code of Ethics
* Maintains a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the department/facility
* Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
* Demonstrates economic use of time, equipment, and supplies
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
* Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
* Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
* Greets and engages with a smile
* Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities

* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

* Must have or be eligible for state licensure or registration for Speech-Language Pathology
* Must complete level one of the CN Core Leadership training within 12 months of hire or promotion
